When I decided to remove the extra door leading into my bedroom and hang a beaded curtain instead, my daughter, Kim, threw back her head and began laughing...."Mom, you're just a hippie at heart!"
Well, I'm really not a hippie, having come to the decade of the sixties with three little ones and a home to take care of. But I must admit I do love the bohemian "look", the "figure it out and do it yourself" life, and a relaxed style of everyday living.
I discovered my beaded curtain at a favorite antique mall and mounted it in the empty opening. A vintage crocheted piece added that just right look layered look. With strands of collectable dollar beads and a TJMaxx straw hat, my personal corner is good to go!
